It’s official. This year’s Video Music Awards will be held live again at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The date is set on August 28, 2011at 9 p.m. In a statement, MTV President Steven Friedman said that:
"We are thrilled to return to Los Angeles where the energy of the city will help power the creative spirit of the 28th annual VMAs. The city is the perfect backdrop for all the musical moments, mayhem and magic that make the VMAs such a notorious celebration."
The awards have become a tradition over the years, honoring the best and the hottest stars and celebrities that has graced the music video scene. Some of the biggest names who have been to this occasion are Madonna, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga.
Last year’s VMA was full of star-power and highlighted by performances by Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Eminem and Rihanna, and other music performers (not to mention that meat dress that Lady Gaga wore on that night). The red carpet will surely shine with the stars that will be walking on it, so be ready to be dazzled and razzled by their appearance.
